Securing skilled employees
Innovative approaches to attracting and retaining skilled workers
Skilled workers are in short supply. But in times of skills shortages, generational change and digitalisation, how can we find the right people and retain them in the long term? In the second session of our series ‘Lead well – Successful leadership’, we show how innovative corporate culture, new work and personal branding help attract skilled workers and strengthen teams.
Learn how you can effectively counteract the shortage of skilled workers with new methods and creative strategies.
This event is the second online session in the new series ‘Lead Well – Successful Leadership’, organised in cooperation with GermanMittelstand and mib Mittelstand in Bayern.
In this series, we highlight current challenges and future topics for managers in small and medium-sized enterprises – in a practical, interdisciplinary and solution-oriented manner. This edition focuses on the topic of recruting and securing skilled workers. Together with our thought leaders, we will discuss three theses:
‘Remote teams don't fail because of distance, but because of a lack of emotional closeness.’ (Fabian Ewald)
– How to retain employees who are thousands of kilometres away
‘Personal branding is more important than company branding.’ (Christine Schickinger)
– People leave managers, not companies
‘Innovation is possible, but not in the way you think.’ (Christian Obad)
– With the right methods and processes, the likelihood that something new will be successful increases
Impetus for sustainable leadership in small and medium-sized enterprises
The event series ‘Lead Well. Successful Leadership’ is a collaboration between OWWF Bavaria, German Mittelstand and the Association of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses in Bavaria. It offers practical inspiration, innovative strategies and in-depth expertise for managers in small and medium-sized businesses. In four thematically focused sessions, we will examine the key challenges and opportunities of modern corporate management.
