As we do every year, we invite the consular representatives to a reception.

The new year has not opened up a path to peace in either the Middle East or Ukraine. Building bridges out of barriers is more important than ever. We are committed to this mission. The goal must be to replace destructive war with constructive peace. The world situation does not look like this will be possible any time soon.

The 2024 European elections are an important milestone. We need a clear majority for a European policy that aims for more rather than less Europe. The left-wing and right-wing populists in many European countries want the opposite. We want to explore this topic in greater depth at the OWWF Bavaria annual reception for the Consular Corps in the run-up to the Munich Security Conference. Our speaker is an experienced "European", she has been a member of the European Parliament since 1999.
